Sleeping

HOW STINKIN' CUTE!

Baby Bath Time

Logan loves the robe his Great-Uncle Jaime and Great-Aunt Sharon got him!

He has slippers to go with it - but I was trying to get the shot while he was still content and didn't have time to pull out the slippers this time.

Mom and Dad Pics

Logan can completely straighten his legs if you put your hands behind his feet - he looks like a yoga-baby with his butt stuck up in the air.

Happy Grandparents

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Marissa came for a visit this past week. My dad was so excited he just giggled the entire time he was here and snuggled Logan at every opportunity. Logan slept on him for hours while he was here. Grandpa even changed a few diapers and got a little bit of a Logan shower - those darned baby boys - they pee everywhere! Grandma Marissa was a dream with little Logan - sometimes he'd be fussing while I was trying to nurse him and she'd pick him up and he'd just melt in her arms within seconds. Logan is so lucky to have so many amazing and loving grandparents.

I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of my family these next few years - my son is just too adorable to stay away from for long. ;)

Babies Everywhere

All of these babies were in utero at the same time.
Here are pics with the mommies and daddies.
You might not be able to tell from the pic, but Logan was throwing an absolute fit.

Auntie LaDeen

My best friend with Logan.

The New Taylor Addition

My friends Chuck and Kelly Taylor's new addition, Cecelia Claire.

She is 3 days younger than Logan and cute as a button.

The Case of the WERE-BABY (like a were-wolf)

It sure is hard being parents. Every night Logan gets a case of the crankies from about 6 until 10. So Eric and I do everything we can to soothe the poor baby bear and it turns into a regular baby circus at our house every evening. Good times! Of course - we're counting our blessings - we got a very healthy baby with excellent lungs! And at least he's not doing his complaining at 2am. And... when he's not doing his grumpy thing at night, he's a dream child, snoozing away and gooing and being adorable - making us fall in love with him every morning so we'll be able to handle him lovingly every evening.

Brenna is on a no-wheat, no-dairy, no-nut diet - just in case he's sensitive to something like that - I know - all I get to eat is boring salads and eggs. And in the meantime, we're trying all kinds of other 'colic' remedies from lavendar oil to chammomile tea and all the tricks from "The Happiest Baby on the Block" book. We definitely are getting some good moments of peace here and there from all of the tricks we've learned for soothing babies - but man - we have to work for every minute of it!!! At least 'colic' only lasts until they are 3 months old, right? Well - wish us luck and think twice before inviting us to dinner for the next 2 months - we might come - but we'll probably have to leave before dinner is served!

Rude Noises at Border's

Luckily - Auntie Jen helped me pick out a few new shirts that will flatter the Dolly Pardon look I'm currently sporting! Woo Hoo! This picture was taken before we went shopping. ;) Jen and Eric and I took Logan out to eat at the California Pizza Kitchen - YUM - and then we went to Border's. While we were there I had to take a break to feed the Logan-Bear... and after he was done he did what babies do... he pooped SUPER LOUD and SUPER JUICY. It was hysterical. The lady sitting a few chairs down heard him and looked over and exlaimed "Healthy Baby!" She was very entertained and I was, of course, a little mortified. Luckily, mommy has a good sense of humor and I laughed with the woman about the whole thing before we went upstairs to take care of business. Let the embarrasment begin...

Auntie Jen Rocks

Auntie Jen came out on Logan's 2 week birthday and is staying until his 3 week birthday. She has been such a complete God-send. She's changed super-gross diapers and grocery shopped and made dinner and done about 8 dishwasher cycles and 18 loads of laundry and even got a blister by pulling weeds in the backyard! But I'm sure that she'd tell you it was worth every ounce of effort for the many moments of perfect love she got from her first nephew. Logan really loves his auntie - and she sure does love him right back.

Baby's First Outing

On Logan's Two Week Birthday, we loaded him up in the car seat for the first time and took him to PF Chang's at Flatirons mall for dinner to celebrate. Auntie Jen treated - THANKS AUNTIE!Oh what fun it was! Logan did great on the way there - although he looked a little shocked when the car started moving and reached his arms out for balance when daddy drove over some railroad tracks... but on the way home he threw a big huge fit and mom couldn't handle it so we pulled over and rescued the baby from the evil contraption. While we were at dinner - Logan slept in his car seat most of the time and when he woke up he was fascinated by all the people outside the window. It was such a good party - I wish I would have had the waiter take all of our picture - but I keep getting distracted with - you know - the baby - and I keep forgetting about capturing the moment. Grandpa Rick and Grandma Sue and Auntie Jen were all there.

Pure Cute-ness

Cute Things Logan Does:
  • Sleeps with his hand over his eyes... like dad
  • Sleeps with his mouth open... like mom
  • He snorts... like mom
  • Makes the sweetest 'goo' noise after sneezing
  • Nearly does a full backbend when he stretches
  • Makes a turtle face while pulling his head backwards to stretch
  • Sucks on his arm and makes 'o' faces with his lips when he's hungry
  • Eats like a bear - grunting and growling and flinging his head side to side
  • Half-smiles sometimes for no reason at all

Stroller Time

This was Logan's One Week Birthday party... his first stroller ride to the end of the block.
