Where Have You Been?
I know - I've been a bad blog updater for 2 months!
So here goes - I'll try to catch you all up on the April and May activities I can remember!
Here are the goings on that I don't have pictures for:
Birthdays - Rick and Sue and LaDeen had birthdays in April - we celebrated the family birthdays on Easter at Laura's house (who made a yummy Greek Easter dinner)
Sue and I went to the Opera to see Chuck Taylor in his recent Opera Colorado starring role - which was amazing, of course. For those of you that went to our wedding - Chuck and his wife Kelly were the amazing vocalists. We are so excited that they've moved back to Loveland, Colorado from New York - they are so much fun to be around!
Eric and I went and visited my Uncle Jaime and Aunt Sharon in Gunnison, Colorado - I had a craving for Mexican food and let me tell you - the food at Uncle Jaime's is worth the drive alone - not to mention the peace and tranquility that surrounds their home and the amazing company!
My best friend in the whole world, LaDeen, delivered a healthy baby girl named Tayanna Jade Perez on Cinco De Mayo morning. What an adorable sweet little thing she is!!! I would post some pictures here - but we're having a baby shower for LaDeen this weekend - so I'll get some super cute ones on Saturday.
We went to see Maegan Kellogg perform again in another play at her high school. (Maegan is my ... hmmm... step-neice-in-law... I think) In any case - she is an extremely talented young woman with an absolute amazing stage presence. It is always such a joy to see her perform and express such a powerful and beautiful spirit to the world.
Pirates of the Carribean 3 was entertaining, but definitely too long for a woman with a squished bladder! I give it a 'matinee' rating on my movie rating scale.
Oh my goodness a lot has happened this past two months!!! The most recent event was a very yummy Memorial Day BAR-B-Q at Char's house up in the mountains. We had BBQ ribs and chicken and a plethora of salads - fruit, green, and potato. I experimented with a recipe I got online for lemon sponge cake with a strawberry glaze dressing. It was a definite yum-o dessert.
And all throughout the last few months - I've been participating in aqua aerobics with other pregnant ladies and Eric has been working out in the back yard - digging the trenches to lay our back yard sprinkler system. And we've been 'nesting' in our spare moments... organizing and reorganizing the house and buying a bunch of things that are all of a sudden necessary because there's going to be a baby here - when they never seemed necessary before.
